Learn to Shape your own Surfboard
Tuesday April 11, 2006
Shaping your own board is an intimate and sometimes emotional process that every longtime surfer should experience at least once. To help you in your valiant and worthy mission further into the surf experience, Damascus Productions has created The Masters Shaper Series with shaper Jim Phillips.

I started surfing at age 9 in 1929 at the Outrigger Canoe Club, and made several boards for myself and friends in 1935-38. Have a photo of myself at Makapu’u February 1946 on one that peaked at over 30′.
Cool! Send in that photo and I’ll throw it in the photo gallery for everyone to gawk at.
