How has Hollywood Treated the Surf Culture?
Do you remember where you were when In God's Hands was released? Or can you recite any of Keanu's lines from Pointbreak? Probably not. Take a look at some of the most memorable surf moments in modern celluloid (Irony is a factor here, andThe Endless Summer is exempt from this list for obvious reasons).

Latest surf flick I watched about 50 times with my son is the animated film “Surf’s Up”. It’s amazing what having kids can do to you but it is a pretty cool movie. Plenty of good one liners in it.
Yes! That one cracked me up. They actually got the shaping concept just right. Jeff Bridges was a perfect voice for that one; however, monkeys whould have been much more visually exciting as surfers than penguins.
I find that most surf movies are either void of real surfers or lack any credibility. Point Break made me want to vomit up my lunch…. Blue Crush made me want to move to Ohio.
I tend to stick to the docu-movies that follow the sport and the surfers who make up the culture. Slaters movie was good when taking into consideration what is was about. Its only downfall was the fact that it made Slater into the next coming of Christ.
