The Test
I decided to put Brave Soldier's sunscreen and lip balm to an honest field test. Most water-proof sunblocks leave a very greasy feeling, but upon applying the "Solar Shield," I immediately noticed it absorbed quickly and completely into my skin, and my wife commented on it's fresh, soap aroma.
I paddled out for a 3 hour session under the mid-day Florida sun which is one degree less than the intensity of summertime in Rawanda. I was pleased to return home with my pigment intact. My skin did not get burned, and I didn't need to re-apply. To me, this is what matters when surfing.
