Dingleberries Board Repair Kit

About.com Rating 4.5

By , About.com Guide

Surf trips are perilous journeys for your surfboard. Boards are strapped haphazardly to car tops, forced into vans and trunks, groped by aggressive baggage handlers, and finally put into almost constant joyous service in the water (if the ocean cooperates that is). You are almost guaranteed a few good dings and cracks along the way. But the last thing any surfer wants to do is go buy repair materials and wait for the resin to dry, especially if the waves are going off.

Enter: Dingleberries. They offer a wonderful new instant ding repair kit that I feel is perfect for the traveling surfer. The kit includes only two parts. Both the resin and hardener come in stick form which can be sliced into small pieces and mixed together like putty in your hands and then applied. No sanding is needed. Dingleberries will even set and cure underwater. Heck, you don’t even have to go in to fix a ding. Just mix, apply, and keep surfing.

Although Dingleberries couldn’t do much for a broken board or major delamination, it can, however, quickly and easily mend any small ding and keep your board in tiptop condition for your surf trip and beyond. It is simple and easy, and that makes sense to me. Dingleberries offers many other surf goodies, but the ding repair kit really caught my eye as the next wave in “on the go” surfboard repair.
