Surfing Championships concluded today awarding Hawaii the 2005 World Junior
Surfing Champions with 5,904 total points.
IRONS WINS QUIKSILVER PRO FRANCE; KEEPS WORLD TITLE HOPES ALIVE
Showing the form of a true champion and with his fists punching the
air, Andy Irons kept his Fosterâs ASP Menâs World Tour crown hopes
alive by claiming victory in the Quiksilver Pro France presented by
Samsung.
Taking place in two to 2.5 metre (six to eight foot) conditions at La
Graviere, and with the early elimination of Kelly Slater (USA) in the
quarter finals, Irons put the pedal to metal to defeat Damien Hobgood

Andy Irons (HAW) claimed revenge today for his last minute loss to Kelly Slater (USA) in South Africa in July, when he beat Slater in epic 2-2.5 metre (six-to-eight foot) waves in the Quiksilver Pro Japan to claim his first victory of the season.
TITLE RACE STILL HOT AS MUNRO AND FANNING WIN IN ROUND TWO OF QUIKSILVER PRO
Trent Munro (AUS) and Mick Fanning (AUS) kept the tight race for the 2005 Fosters ASP Mens World Tour crown alive today when they both defeated local competitors in round two of the Quiksilver Pro Japan.
Both will now progress into round three and, with a solid result here in Japan, either could reel in ratings leader Kelly Slater (USA) or overtake number two Andy Irons (HAW).
